Women’s Platform for Action International (WoPAI) has formally requested corrections to inaccurate claims published on RationalWiki.
In a letter sent to the RationalMedia Foundation, WoPAI expressed concern over repeated mischaracterizations, including being labeled as a “far-right, anti-transgender hate group.” The letter emphasizes that WoPAI is an international feminist network, legally registered in Sweden, working to advance women and girls’ human rights through sex-based analysis and global policy advocacy.
WoPAI’s proposed corrections ask RationalWiki to ensure statements are factually supported, neutrally phrased, and properly sourced – all while keeping a critical tone. The organization has also suggested including its mission statement and examples of its international advocacy work, such as joint letters to UN bodies and participation in global women’s rights initiatives.
